Early Life and Education
Misa Bharti Yadav, born on May 22, 1976, is a prominent Indian politician from Bihar. She is the daughter of former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi. Misa Bharti completed her MBBS degree from Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) in 2000.
Political Career
Misa Bharti's political journey began with her election as a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly (MLA) in 2005 from Raghopur constituency. She has held this position for four consecutive terms, most recently in 2020.
In 2009, Misa Bharti contested the Lok Sabha elections from Pataliputra constituency but lost to Ram Kripal Yadav of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). However, she made a comeback in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, defeating BJP candidate Ram Kirpal Yadav.
Personal Life
Misa Bharti is married to Shailesh Kumar, a businessman. The couple has three children. Misa Bharti is known for her social work and has actively participated in various charitable activities.
